Terms of service

Last updated · 24 October 2026

These terms apply to the website apparelpatternservice.com and the conversion service offered on it (the “Service”). The Service is operated by Apparel Pattern Service, [Company legal details](“we”, “us”). By uploading a file or buying a conversion you agree to these terms.

1. What the Service does

You upload a vector PDF sewing pattern. We detect the pattern pieces automatically and show you a free preview. If you buy the conversion, you receive a DXF file in the AAMA format containing the detected pieces. Conversion is fully automatic; we do not redraft, grade or check the fit of a pattern.

2. Your files and your rights to them

  • You may only upload patterns you own or have the right to use and convert. You are responsible for respecting the licence of the pattern’s designer or publisher.
  • You keep all rights to your files. You give us a limited licence to store and process them only to provide the Service to you.
  • You must not upload unlawful content or files designed to harm our systems.
  • We may refuse or delete a file if we reasonably believe it infringes someone else’s rights.

3. Price and payment

Previews are free. Each converted DXF file costs €15, shown before payment. Payment is taken by our payment processor, Stripe, at checkout. You receive the file immediately after payment. Changing the selected size of the same uploaded pattern afterwards is free.

4. Right of withdrawal

The DXF file is digital content that is supplied immediately after payment. By starting the download you request immediate supply and acknowledge that you lose the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal once supply has begun. This does not affect our refund policy or your statutory rights if the file is faulty.

5. Quality of the result

We work hard to reproduce the pattern exactly, but automatic conversion depends on how the PDF was drawn. Always check the preview before buying and measure the pieces after import, as you would with a printed pattern. If the file does not open in your CAD software or differs materially from the preview, our refund policy applies.

6. Account

You need to sign in with a Google account to buy a conversion. Purchased files stay available in your account for re-download for as long as the Service operates. You are responsible for activity under your account.

7. Availability and liability

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to a conversion is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.

8. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the version shown at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase. These terms are governed by the law of the country of the operator stated above, without depriving consumers of the protection of the mandatory law of their country of residence.
